A fun daily calendar, such as a word-a-day, trivia, or puzzle calendar, gives you an excuse to take a minute for yourself.
Picture this.
Keep a collection of photos (hard copy or digital) of your favourite moments, places or people wherever you spend your most stressful hours. A few minutes gazing at that romantic lakefront view or recalling a special vacation will take you away in mind, if not body.
Just say “om.”
You can meditate almost anywhere. Even 10 minutes of concentrated relaxation can have immediate beneficial effects.
Listen to the music.
Soothing music can drown out the hustle and bustle of city traffic or the riotous chaos of your kids. Mellow out with your favourite tunes or soothing nature sounds.
