IN CONSIDERATION of participating in the Becel “One Small Thing” initiative (the “Initiative”) and having my submission (“Submission”) in respect thereof accepted by Unilever Canada Inc. (“Unilever”), I, on my own behalf and on behalf of my heirs, executors, legal personal representatives, successors and assigns hereby irrevocably acknowledge and agree in favour of Unilever and its affiliates and advertising and promotional agencies and their respective agents and representatives (collectively, the “Authorized Parties”) as follows:


I am of the age of majority in my province or territory of residence.


I represent that the Submission I am submitting as part of the Initiative is original to me, that any statements contained therein are truthful or represent my genuinely held opinion or belief, and that I own all rights in and to the Submission and that any individual identified in the Submission (or his/her parent/legal guardian if a minor) has authorized the use of his/her likeness and name for the permitted uses.


I agree that my Submission will not be returned to me and that Unilever has the right in perpetuity to publish, reproduce, edit or otherwise use my Submission, in whole or in part, as is or as may be edited, along with my full name, in any advertising and promotion including, but not limited to, for promotion, art, editorial, advertising, trade, publishing, or any other commercial purpose whatsoever (the “Permitted Uses”), without limitation as to time or territory, without further compensation.


I assign all intellectual property rights, including copyright, and waive all moral rights, in and to my Submission, in favour of the Unilever;


I consent to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of my name, address, voice, Submission and/or my own photograph or other likeness and / or image, as is or as may be edited, without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by the Unilever in any manner whatsoever, including without limitation, print, broadcast or the internet.


In consideration of my execution of this Consent, Authorization and Release, Unilever agrees not to use the Images or Submission for any pornographic, obscene, defamatory or libelous purpose.


I hereby irrevocably and unconditionally release, discharge and hold harmless Unilever and each of the Authorized Parties, and all other parties acting under right, title, assignment, grant or license from Unilever or the Authorized Parties, from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of actions, suits or proceedings of any kind or nature whatsoever, and from any injury, loss, damage, debts, liability, costs or expenses of any kind or nature whatsoever which I or any other person claiming through me may have, suffer or incur, as a result of or arising from or in connection with any use of the Images or the Submission contemplated by this Consent, Authorization and Release, including without limitation, any claims for libel, defamation, invasion of privacy, or breach of publicity or other property rights.


I warrant and represent that my Submission does not and will not be defamatory, trade libelous, pornographic or obscene, and further that it will not contain, include or discuss or involve, without limitation, any of the following:

Obscenities;
Nudity;
Explicit, graphic or excessive sexual activity;
Crude, vulgar or offensive language and/or symbols;
Derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual or religious groups;
Content which endorses, condones or discusses any illegal or inappropriate activity, behaviour or conduct;
Personal information of individuals, including without limitation, names, addresses (physical or e-mail), phone and fax numbers, license plates;
Conduct or other activities in violation of these terms of consent;
Commercial messages, comparisons or solicitations for products or services (other than those the Unilever);
Any commercial products (other than those of Unilever) and/or their trade-marks, brands, logos or endorsements;
URLs or links to any websites; and
Any other content that is or could be considered inappropriate, unsuitable or offensive, as determined by the Unilever in its sole discretion.


This Consent, Authorization and Release shall be binding without restriction as to time or otherwise upon the undersigned, and my heirs, executors, legal representatives, successors and assigns, as the case may be.
